Queen of Hearts

Here is a bit of my progress with my newest project. Going with a deck of cards theme, I hope to finish one of each suit with different imagery than normally associated with them.

Finished painting, need to adjust the BG

Decided on this color comp

Wasn't sure where I wanted to go with the color. I think I'll take the yellow and green for the King of Clubs.

This was the line art I ended up with. I continued to tweak it as I was painting, like adjusting the size of the hands and the shape of the eyes.

Messy drawing. I was trying to make sure that all the lines kept the eye in the piece and didn't fly off the page with all the straight lines, eye sight originally off the page, and fingers pointing off the page.
